Edward Weston
1886 - 1958

"The difference between good and bad art lies in the minds that created, rather than in the skill of hands."

Quotations from A Dictionary of Contemporary Quotations compiled by Jonathon Green

One of the best know artists of the 1930's Weston was at the center of a West Coast group of photographers known as Group f.64 because of their preference for using small apertures which resulted in total sharpness.
He lived in a secluded hillside cabin, eating a spartan diet of fruit and nuts.
