Born in USA she studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Art students League in New York City.
I have just finished reading a fascinating book about Georgia O'Keeffe written by Hunter Drohojowska-Philp
It gives much information about artists working during her lifetime.
There is much about Stieglitz's work in this book
"Finally a biography of Georgia O'Keefe that goes beyond the popular stereotypes to reveal an aesthetically complex, politically shrewd, sometimes naive and often willful artist. She pioneered abstract art in the USA, painted with a "Surrealist" flavour
