Continually outgrowing its original building, four new buildings were added, the Tudor-Revival Colt Memorial the Renaissance-Revival Morgan Memorial, the neo-classical Avery Memorial, and the modern Goodwin Building, and it has nearly 50,000 works spanning 5,000 years.
