The neoclassical building was a major work by Sir Charles Barry who designed it for the Manchester Institution for Fine Arts as a club for the local industries, temporary exhibition gallery, life-class and a lecture hall. Completed in 1834 it became the Art Gallery in 1882. The building was restored in 1978 to become as closely to the original as possible.

Heald Place Primary school came in on a very snowy day to partake in Xmas themed activities and to help with the tree decorations. Vivid Photo Visual from Stockport really captured the moment and atmosphere with their wonderful camera work.
Hope you enjoy and a very Merry Christmas to you from the Education team!
