Emmanuel Phillips Fox 1865-1915 Born in Fitzroy, Melbourne on 12 march 1865 he studied at Melbourne's National Gallery School, Academie Julian Paris, and Ecole des Beaux-Aarts Paris. After working in Europe, mainly in Paris, Australian artist E.Phillips Fox set up an Art School in Melbourne as an alternative to the more academic National Gallery School.
